Anna Silk
Anna Silk, born January 31st 1974 in Fredericton New Brunswick Canada, is an actor popular for her portrayal of Bo in The Showcase Series Lost Girl. Silk was raised in Fredericton New Brunswick Canada. Ilkay Silk as well as Peter Silk are parents of Silk. Ilkay is a playwright and director. She teaches the art of the art of drama in St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Some of Anna's earliest memories were of going to the play school and watching her mother work. Silk was the subject of several commercials while she was still a kid. She graduated with a Bachelor's in Arts from St. Thomas University in 1997. Early theater work includes at least two plays with Theatre St. Thomas: Seven Menus and The Kitchen. Silk relocated to Toronto, Canada in the month of November 1999. After that, she relocated into Los Angeles California during the following decade. She met her future spouse, Seth Cooperman, at the workshop for actors held in Los Angeles in 2007. The couple got engaged during 2009 and then married during a civil ceremony December that same year. Following her conversion to Judaism the couple renew their vows in an Jewish ceremony on April 10, 2011. The ceremony was held in Fredericton. Silk Cooperman had a baby boy, her son Samuel Jerome Cooperman, in May 2013. The second son of hers, Levi Aaron was born on May 13 2016. Silk's work on television includes the role of Cassidy Holland in Being Erica for which she earned the Gemini Awards nomination in 2009. She was cast as the main character Bo Dennis in Lost Girl. Silk became pregnant during production of the final season episode and broke the news to fans of the series during a Showcase special pre-show Season Three special on January 6th, 2013. On June 4, 2013 Showcase and Prodigy Pictures announced that production was beginning on the fourth season and on June 20 2013 Silk tweeted that she was ready to return for work on the show. Silk's portrayal of Bo and Lauren (Zoie Palmer) as lovers who are identical on Lost Girl was named one of its all-time Favorite Television Couples by CNN (Cable News Network) and named the Top TV Couple in 2013, by E! Entertainment Television. Due to the popularity of the show, Silk has gained a large internet following via social media.
