Prof. Gail S. Goodman, Distinguished Professor of psychology and Director of Center for Public Policy Research is at the University of California Davis. She is widely acknowledged for launching the modern science of eyewitness memory in children and using child victims to be legal witnesses. Professor Goodman is a prolific author and has been awarded many awards and grants. She has advised a variety of authorities and government agencies around the globe on policies and research relating to child victims in the justice system. She serves as a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center and was previously known as the Multidisciplinary Interview Center of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She has memberships with numerous professional associations, including the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor. Goodman is a fellow of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was president of American Psychological Association Divisions for Policy for Children and Families and Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
